Privacy, Safeguarding & Responsible AI

At Eilert Education, learning is personal. So is the responsibility that comes with looking after our students, their work and their information. We aim to keep things simple, safe and transparent.

Privacy

We only collect the personal information we need to provide our teaching services and communicate with students and parents or guardians.

We take reasonable steps to keep this information secure and only share it with trusted service providers where this is necessary to provide our services or meet a legal obligation.

We do not sell student or parent information.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed and handle it in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

Parents, guardians and students can contact us if they would like to understand what information we hold about them or have questions about how it is used.

Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of our students are important to us.

We aim to maintain appropriate professional boundaries in all lessons and communications, whether teaching takes place online or in person.

Where appropriate, communications concerning younger students may involve a parent or guardian.

If we become concerned about a student's safety or wellbeing, we may need to raise that concern with a parent, guardian or appropriate authority. We will always approach such situations carefully and with the student's welfare in mind.

Responsible use of AI

AI can be a useful educational tool, but it should support learning rather than replace independent thinking, creativity or the relationship between teacher and student.

We will be transparent about when and how AI is used as part of our teaching.

Student essays, assignments and other personal work will not be submitted to public AI services or used to train AI models without appropriate permission.

We also encourage students to use AI responsibly: as a tool for exploration and learning, rather than as a substitute for their own ideas and work.

Questions or concerns

If you have a question about privacy, safeguarding or our use of AI, please contact us. We would always rather have a conversation than leave a question unanswered.
